I HATE THE MENTAL HEALTH INDUSTRY

I hate the word mental health. I hate the industry surrounding mental health. I hate mental health and the energy around it; it’s just gross when you understand what the purpose of its presence is and what it really means for the collective suffering.

To me, mental health is a scam and a manipulation of one’s pain. It’s a label used to control, medicate and isolate the masses. People assume mental health is widely accepted and used for good, but in reality, it's used to control free-thinking, creative minds and put a stigma around pain and suffering.

When it comes to depression, anxiety, eating disorders, OCD and every other condition listed under the sun, what is it? A natural human response to unresolved pain and trauma. Its simple mental illness is a human response to unresolved pain and trauma used to, in a way, protect us from the past. Trauma does not leave the body, so when we do not deal with it, we store it; that storage uses up space and creates new ‘abnormal’ behaviours to cope with that stored trauma. This ‘abnormal’ behaviour is labelled mental illness.

It bothers me to see millions of suffering people sedate themselves through poor mental health advice when, in reality, all they needed were the correct mental tools to fix themselves. I have tried anti-depressants before, and while they were a great time, they didn’t fix my issues. If anything, when I came off them, my issues were worse because I didn't deal with them originally. We are all magicians of our minds, and through the correct tools, we can heal and cure our mental illness without the help of medication.

Medication has become the new normal, and being checked out of life has become even more normal, and I think it is sad. The number of people overly sedated and numb to the world is frightening, and to assume we need medication to survive is a weak and misguided approach in need of adjusting. We dont need medication to go through life. Yes, it makes life more tolerable; however, the more sedated you become, the more lost you become. It's hard to find yourself again when you lose too much of yourself; it doesn't mean you cannot. It means you will have to work so much harder than you would have pre-medication.

I have cured every mental illness under the sun alone and unmedicated, so I know what it takes to heal your personal trauma and ‘mental illness’ properly. Anorexia, bulimia, laxative abuse, depression, severe social anxiety, general anxiety, exercise addiction, body dysmorphia, and, I think, undiagnosed ADHD. Okay, I have had some issues. Lots, actually, and I am sure if I visited a psychologist today with the issues I had ten years ago, a new label would be brought to my attention, along with a pill to help that. I am a walking example of self-help and how it can and does work without medication or professionals.

I was forced into psychologists, psychiatrists, mental hospitals, student councils, and therapy, and none of them wanted to help me. They wanted to judge me and sedate me with drugs. I do not like the system because drugging someone does not cure someone of their pain; it distracts them from it. Without the drugs, the pain comes rushing back, so they go on and increase the dosages and cocktails each year, resulting in a 25-year-old pharmaceutical drug addict walking through customs normally. Big pharma and your drug dealer down the street are the same; both sell drugs, both dont pay taxes, and both make people ill under the illusion of making them happy. Medication and mental health labels are not your friends. They are your enemies, so please do not be misled by the doctor’s signature on your addictive pills.

My issue with the mental health industry is it sells an idea of self-help but has the intention of self-destruction. When a human is suffering, they are easy to control and become susceptible to overconsumption, debt, drugs and addictions. Miserable people are profitable people; miserable people are also easily controlled people. Miserable people who are medicated are even better, especially given they are now regular consumers of your products. Dont fall victim to the labels and the illusion of the mental health industry, it’s a scam, and it’s taking advantage of vulnerable people like a pimp in an orphanage.

You dont need a mental health label to categorise your pain and suffering.
